The regulations promulgated under federal
and state law require TIF Fund Management LLC (TIFFM), as the offeror
of private investment products, to determine the suitability of such products
for each individual investor.
To properly discharge this obligation, investors
must provide:
Financial information confirming their financial qualifications,
Examples of similar investment experience, and
Knowledge of alternative investments.
The above requirements are clearly outlined in the federal guidelines.
We base our determination of product suitability
for your portfolio on the financial information you provide to us. If
we determine that our product is not suitable for your portfolio, we are
not supposed to sell it to you. In reality, while you ultimately decide
on the suitability of an investment for your portfolio, we are still accountable
to the regulators for assuring its suitability.
To
properly discharge our duty we need you to honestly disclose your financial
situation, and maintain our awareness of any changes therein.
You can readily determine your status for
financial qualification to make this investment by reading the next section
entitled INVESTOR QUALIFICATIONS.
There are three types of qualifications:
Accredited Investor (AI)
Qualified Eligible Person (QEP)
Qualified Purchaser (QP)
Accredited Investors do not necessarily
qualify as potential investors for this type of investment. To qualify
for any TIF product, you must meet either the QEP or QP qualification, depending
upon the product.
As a general guideline, we suggest that your investment
in any TIF product should not exceed 5% of your liquid net worth. Since
the minimum investment is $250,000, your liquid net worth should exceed
$5 million.
